Successful introduction of KOMORI's new Lithrone G40 press during Open House in Utrecht
More than 200 visitors attended the introduction of the Lithrone G40 during the KOMORI Open House in Utrecht on June 29th. Mr. Yoshiharu Komori, President, Chairman and CEO of Komori Corporation welcomed all visitors with a personal speech. During live demonstrations and presentations, the Komori staff showed the newly developed Lithrone G40. The G stands for 'Green', which has not only high environmental adaptability, but new technologies and functions. These features currently used for the top model, the Lithrone SX have now also been introduced into this new model as well. It is abundantly clear that this new model can provide the high printing quality, for which Komori renowned.
In particular, through KOMORI's original KHS-AI system -- unique to Komori presses - printers can reduce the amount of waste paper to one tenth of a press without KHS-AI. It also makes possible reduction of CO2 emissions, shortens printing lead times, and consequently dramatically reduces total costs.
Utilising the flexibility of the Lithrone G40, printers who normally print high quality commercial work can now intersperse this with packaging jobs. Therefore with a minimum investment risk, commercial printers can now enter the rapidly growing packaging field.
By using Komori's H-UV innovation, printing companies will be released from regular delays previously considered unavoidable in the offset printing industry. For example: H-UV now provides printers with the opportunity to unburden problems in job work flow associated with drying time, delivery time and the possible costs related to unsatisfactory printing quality which can result in the need for reprinting.
Furthermore H-UV provides the capability for high value added printing such as production on special substrates, which could not be printed with conventional inks.
