The Manhattan Symphonie Orchestra with Conductor Gregory Singer perform My Heart Will Go On, the theme from Titantic, with soloist Julianne Park, on their 2nd annual tour of China in January of 2011.
The Manhattan Symphonie was founded in 2005 by Conductor and Musical Director Gregory Singer. This unique orchestra, which blends dynamite and masterful performances with a sense of fun often lost in the classical music hall, has been receiving rave reviews for their highly entertaining performances in New York and across China. The Manhattan Symphonie is comprised of musicians that are eager to play music without any limitations. The members include young virtuoso musicians eager to make their mark, as well as seasoned veterans of the three Lincoln Center orchestras including the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra.
In 2009 the Manhattan Symphonie was invited to perform a series of concerts throughout China to celebrate 30 years of good relationship between The United States and China. They visited 10 cities and performed 14 concerts during Christmas and New Years season. All of the concerts were very well received by the sold-out concert halls, with thousands in attendance on each occasion. The following year the Manhattan Symphonie were invited back for another hugely successful tour of China, the Goodwill West / East Tour. One of the final performances of this tour was professionally filmed and this selection is from that special night. Enjoy!
