Wow! Is this an amazing coincidence? Or did you see my article I just wrote about this same car! It was about the same car I saw in Montreal in FEb 2005. Same year body, except mint condition and painted burgundy!

@Chisoufboi I've got a 82 98 as well not the coupe though 307 V8 she sounds wonderful. Not much ground breaking power like you said but when you get em to speed they'll move pretty darn good.

these cars are not slow just cruisers.. they were never the gun it type but you can give it some go and pplease believe its gonna start cutting through air picking up speed. got to love the quality in these cars. got a 82 olds 98 coupe n wouldn't trade it for nothin

@fitzgerald95971 1980 was the last year a gas 350 Rocket was available. It was rare, duel to OPEC and the fact that dealers did not stock them. You had to special order your gas 350 if you wanted it. By 1981, the 350 Rocket was a fond memory.

They are not slow. They are very fast actually. They are not quick, however. They don't accelerate fast, but they have long legs, especially the overdriven ones, and cruising at 100 plus MPH for hours on end isn't a problem for them (the law not withstanding).

these cars are slow but dam it will stay at 80 for ever and any modern car doesnt even match up the the ride quality and smoothness.. not even a modern cadillac or mercedes

My grandparents had this same model year (in burgundy) when I was a kid. Brings back great memories!  Love the song too! ;0)

i own a 1984 98 with 63,000 on it. these are awesome cars. they only have a diesel or a 307 5.0 olds. unless the engine was swapped.

How fast ere you going? These cars were great, but quite slow.
