What is this shit? lbr, Drew should be bowing to Ted Neeley.

Playing JC is a lot more than a scream. Ted Neely is still the best JC.

ted neely bring his unique style to it, Drew Sarich does too, both are spectacular voices on different levels, but in my opinion, it takes a lot more to do jesus than a spectacular voice, you need to be sincere, humble and caring, you have to give off an essence that not all have... Drew gives off a powerful Jesus performance, but Ted Neely was a better Jesus (the man behind the legend) i have played jesus in this musical, and it is extremely difficult so kudos to both , they became Jesus.

Good but I still prefer Ted Neeley or Steve Balsamo in that order

@cpjc08 1. he is angry because he has been told he has to die. 2.its a rock opera guitar is allowed:) 3.this peice and this guys performance are incredibly emotional.
just my opinion on the matter. equally as valluable as urs

Beautiful Wonderful rearrangement. Little scremo i didnt like but nun the less AMAZING! and it was live.

hell yeh!!!! best version i have heard!!! outstanding!!!!
-
the whole presumption of the song is that jesus was angry about his fate....so I think everything fits perfectly
-
@cpjc08 JCS is a rock opera so the guitar is definately allowed.

IT'S AN EMOTIONAL PIECE OF METAL!!!!! YEAHHH
my absolute favorite musical, for every reason.
I think this is the best rendition because the fact that JCS is a rock musical instead of Renaissance counterpoint portrays him as Jesus the human being who's not immune to getting angry or tired. Drew Sarich uses his stellar rock vocals and excellent musicianship to communicate the human side. Sometimes people portray Jesus as very divine and sing everything as crisply as possible, but it doesn't fit the music. I hope that made sense.

God. God god. Drew is probably the best Jesus I've ever heard. He's perfectly type-casted in this role. I usually think Drew's style is too much for most roles, but he's perfect for rock opera.
