The season's holding us all hostage
Better do whatever it demands
Nature knows that we've got a crisis
Weighing on our frost bitten hands
This season's left us all helpless.
I can't see and even God is blind
And deaf to all your prayers.
There's nothing that you can do.
This weather's stronger than us all.
The sky is going to crush you.

Human nature is as tempestuous as the seasons.
And what of those who refuse to keep their weather within them? The ones who'll hail down their beliefs on all without regard? Some are strong enough to absorb the flakes of their agenda without being saturated. Others are not and will freeze and crumble by the slightest unanticipated touch, until they finally lose themselves and melt away entirely because they weren't intact in the first place. Never forget, sometimes the best defense is a good offence. The only way to combat intellectual frost bite and preserve oneself is to be your own storm. Be hot when others are cold, scream when they whisper, believe when others forget to... going against the current will strip away what is useless, what is weak, until one is left with polished layers that shine atypically over all, leaving an enlightened path to nothing but the essential self. A part of you that comprehends that there is NO such thing as an unsolvable crisis, for each one shapes you and brings veracity as life is 'sweeter after difficulties'. And though there are times that call for us to walk with the current, we must be fearful of putting our heads completely underwater. Perhaps the only unwanted crisis is the one that pulls us into the whirlpool of ignorance.
Things aren't always easy when the world shifts and revolves constantly and we find ourselves atop ambitiously driven puzzle pieces that aim to create one big picture and divert individual direction/desires. But there is nothing to be afraid of. With enough confidence we can always invert the pieces and distinguish ourselves. It is as simple as uprooting any ingrown moral exigencies, to understand that we don't see the world as it really is, we see it through our own lens. Heed to that knowledge and you wont be held hostage by anyone's ideals, nor will there be much chance for the sky to fall down on you and threaten your sense of identity/responsibility/control. Hope and resolve come when you grab hold of a crisis/argument/struggle/problem and do what reason demands -which sometimes calls for a change of paradigm- in spite of it being one hell of a trial, so unless your hands are tied...
There is no excuse. It is those who know better yet still do wrong who give a crisis it's power.
[I just might have more to add to this thought, later, perhaps something coherent, even!! HAHA I was contemplating the concept while making the video (so my imagination was running in circles) but fatigue has juiced my brain power so by the time I finished the vid, I lost the cohesive thought. So I doubt any of it makes sense but to me. FAIL DESU! ^^;]

Footage: In Weal or Woe [a knot]
Song: Crisis By Alexisonfire
More so than your videos (which are amazing), I love the things you write in the side. I find a lot of them to be rather insightful. Keep up the amazing work.

i don't write the words, the words write me. i am an instrument of divine inspiration, oh yes. lol ;) i simply tend to let my heart talk, occasionally it confers with my mind... but i am glad it isn't taken merely as gibber jabber, not that i write so that it may be validated. i strive to emulate Socrates, you see, "i cannot teach anyone anything, i can only make them think." i'd like to think a video is not simply a video but a tool of understanding. ever the hippie, i am. :DDD

Amazing as always. I love Alexisonfire. I wasn't expecting this kind of song in a video from you based on your previous song choices but it was a pleasant surprise.

P.s Who would I be if I didn't support home grown talent?! Alexisonfire was formed in a town just a few hours from me. Le gasp. They do SUCH justice to the Ontario music scene, so damn POWERFUL- 1 9 7 7, 1 9 7 7 UGH gives me shivers.
I wanted so bad to see 'City and Colour' in concert too but it didn't work out, which explains why I compensated by making a video. ha
