  • All that matters is that stock for stock a 97-02 RT/10 runs the 1/4 in 12.0

The GTR with AWD and boost launch runs in 11.6 meaning it would lose over .5 without the transmission grenading launch control and the viper is faster in any case from a roll (with a good driver).

but good job from a 3,800 turbo car making an actual 530hp+ at the flywheel

The first car I ran when I had my 96 GTS was a 2010 GTR and out of 5 races it was close but as long as I didnt miss a shift Id pull a car each gear

  • @phantom5573 You seem to have mistaken me for a GT-R fanboy. It's a nice car, make no mistake, but the R35 is way overrated. Given a choice between these two cars, I'd pick the R/T 10. Given a choice between it and an R34, on the other hand... That's a different story. I love the Viper, but I dislike convertibles and roadsters, so that and the fact that this one is one of the least powerful means I'd pick an R34. A GTS, now, is one I'd pick over any GT-R, modified or not.

  • @WalkerGuitarist492 did you not read that he had mods and made 500+ hp? that boat anchor viper engine is a joke.

  • @Topfueltrooper NO idiot, it won't. NO way, no how.

  • Absolutely idiotic to put the names of everyone that was there while doing illegal street races.

  • @mj20042

That Viper was quiet as hell. Period!!!

It does not have an exhaust system and i bet it is completely stock.

I should know, I have the same Viper.

First I did Headers - Louder, Full exhaust with straight pipes - Very Loud and fast!!

Viper's are tough to launch but great at roll-on acceleration.

Plus the GTR is around $80,000 used, Viper $30,000 - $40,000 used. I looked into getting both.

  • @Topfueltrooper the Viper cant simply put the power down !!!

    .

we know in the Nevada desert probably the Viper would be the winner .

    .

The only problem ,most people don't live in the Nevada desert . they want there cars to be used in normal twisty roads which is the NIssan GTR natural environment

  • @phantom5573 And that GTR might have more than 480hp from the factory. The engines are all supposedly hand built, so some measure higher than 480 and some lower. Don't know why, but some car magazine observed their press car as having over 500 at the crank (measured at the wheels, add 15%) and had some people write in months after the release saying their onboard telemetry had never measured anywhere near the numbers that the manufacturer claimed.

  • @phantom5573 Even with mods, the exhaust tone doesn't change a whole lot. An intake will do a bit, but a full exhaust system makes the biggest difference. Unfortunately there's no mod list for it, which would be nice to know. I just wouldn't put it past the Viper to have modifications.

  • @iamchuckbasss

That Viper is a decade old and that 'old' Viper matched it with the roll-on.

And I'm sure your R35 is fast as hell. It is an awesome car.
