About this piece: Accelerate is an original composition for solo bass, and is the fourth track on my debut album, Sonorous. This is actually the first solo bass piece that I ever composed - probably back in 2004. I originally was using a tenor bass back then, so for my album I decided to have an ADGC tuning. As you can see, this piece is mainly tapped. It's really difficult to play this correctly, so it took me a few takes before I found one that I could live with!

This is probably the most 'agressive' piece on my album. As I was only using one bass for the whole album, I aimed to have a separate identity for each piece. One way I tried to do that was to really think about having different types of textures. I hope that Accelerate, with it's tapping approach, definitely has its own identity on Sonorous.
