In 2007 Owen Wilson attempted suicide and Courtney Love blamed Coogan and she said Coogan plied Owen with drugs when he had just got out of rehab. If this is true then Coogan cannot make himself out to be this innocent lamb who is picked on by the media. He is in fact an evil worm. People think that Coogan is like Alan Partridge but this is just a character and is nothing like Coogan in real life.

Indeed. It is abhorrent to me to watch a man defend something so disgustingly invading and "morally bankrupt". His case for the NotW's journalism is, according to him, seeking "the truth" when clearly it is to sell papers. It's like Channel 5 claiming their documentary called something like "the man with five arms and two heads" is filmed to show the public another interesting side to life when clearly the intent is "Look at this freak, more viewers". It is horrible.

Coogan spot-on; The shite rags NEVER go after the real villains in society who make the UK an almost unaffordable shithole to live in; Merchant-Bankers, Insurance companies...they squander their investigative notion on celebs paying for hookers. Not Journalism..it's sensationalism, and this country is the poorer for it.
