vermicomposting intro practice video

This video is me just rushing to get a video online to show some vermicomposting and close up of red-worms. I will make a video showing everything I am doing and eventually compile a step by step guide of how I am doing it and what it takes along with facts and tips for getting free materials. One thing I am having problems with, is Fungus Gnats. I am now using "mosquito dunks" which is B.T. which is a bacteria that the larva eat and die, but doesn't effect the compost worms. If you know anything else I can use, let me know (Dichotomous earth didn't work because of the humidity required, fly paper just lowers the numbers, remove the flypaper and the numbers come back)

I also got a 15x magnifying glass and a 20 gallon worm bin. I had over 130 worms at one point, but after buying more, I have about 20-40.

Yeah edyersh, I know, Thanks for the suggestion. I have had a ton of problems just getting videos to transfer to my computer. Most of the videos I have made over the last 2 or 3 years, never were able to be downloaded to my computer. I have spent up to 3 hours at a time attempting to transfer the videos and many days for the same single video. This created a monotone frustrated voice. I gave up and bought a new camcorder which is much lower quality but 0 problems transferring the video!

No, But I got mine from the Pet store for pretty cheap. I stared w/ 25 count, but it din seem like enough. cost my ~$5.00. a couple week later I bought another 50 worms. A few week later my popluation started growing on it own. I estimate my worm population on the order of 500 to 1000s. So If you condition are right and you are patient you population will grow on its own

Thanks for the video but could you work on the monotone delivery? You sound pretty blaze and apathetic. The parts where you get passionate about the worm moving is pretty good. Try to keep the emotional energy up throughout your videos. Chicks will dig you more.
