  • I was on this. It's great!

  • Yeah it was great. Hopefully they'll do some other trips soon :)

  • When did you record this video in real?

  • This was filmed 20.04.08. It is a special trip arranged by the London Transport Museum. I believe there is another one planned for 21st June, but unfortunately I won't be able to make it.

  • They were never like that when in service. They were dirty, tatty and badly maintained.

  • A beautiful train! should all be like that!

  • @nederland4045 they were in service until 1988. Which just shows how out of date the tube is/was! The oldest trains running now are the 1972 stock, heading on for 40 years old..

  • @AustinSomerset Yes, quite shocked to see shiny red paint outside, with the wooden floors varnished. No cigarette butts either. Great trains, and happy memories of my youth in London.

  • Hey, I'm in Liverpool at the minute, would you like to meet up? Possibly grab a pizza?

  • weekly travelcard 8.30 wow that was nice in comparison with thesedays heheehe

  • Where can I see when it runs?

  • are they running it in 2011 ?

  • I was travelling between London Bridge and Stockwell in 1998/9 when one of these turned up - though unrestored to any great degree. Brought back fond memories of when they were regularly in service. Can't think why it turned up then - maybe as a replacement for a newer one that had broken down. They are not quite the same thought without hundreds of cigarette buts jammed into the grooves along the floor.

  • @alijanlondon You used these in the 1930s?

  • Wonderful! A few memory cells stimulated!! They were great looking cars.

  • What is the middle line for?
