@jimkahl You're right. I've never been there. And your experience was an exception to what I explained. Not everyone's experience is the same. I'm not saying that everyone that goes there will have some Chinaman trying to scam there. It wouldn't make sense to predict it to happen 100% of the time. However, it does happen and I'm aware of it because every one of my Chinese friends has told me they do that over there to everyone, but especially foreigners.

you have obviously never been to China... they actually have laws in China that are designed to prevent nationals from scamming foreigners.... I lived in China for 3 months never once had anyone try to scam me, in fact I was invitied out for dinner and to someone's home for a home cooked meal. Any other country in the world and I would have excused myself, but in China I felt perfectly at ease with people that wanted to know me.

I want to go o China really bad which our school is doing but :( I don't have the money :( The school cost is like 3000 but I hope one day. It's a beautiful country and feel of wonderful and amazing things and I'm learning Chinese! Well sad i can't go but next time
