uhh, the point is that it CAN potentially outperform a gas engine, and the black smoke is actually less toxic than what a typical gasoline engine produces. lrn2diesel.

You are a fool if you think a diesel won't out run a gas engine they are doing it in the Le Mans series.

@thegreatkingdaniel Maybe if you ignore the particle emissions. I'm not disputing the performance of this engine but diesels pollute horrendously. The electronically controlled ones are better than the old ones but don't seem to be able to compare to your average spark ignition engine.

I work with diesels every day, and I love the fact that turbo gasoline is having a comback in europe!
But this is a bit off topic :P The diesel engine that Valtonen built is awsome!

diesel can out perform gasoline engine because its a turbo engine... but disel can never outperform a turbo gasoline engine! NEVER!
