ahh soo lovely, its true, i believe a lot of those designers doing last second things are absurd, its bad time management...it can be completed 2 days before, with no headaches!! when the day comes, get the hair and face done, zip the dress, have a fierce walk and most importantly, be BEAUTIFUL!!! and that is beyond easy in a Valentino :)

The man is a genuine artist. He got out exactly when he should have. Too many finance people were starting to control too much. I'm sad he's out, but I respect why. The movie was fabulous. It was a real window into the man, his vision, and the partner who helped him achieve so much.
Bravo, Valentino.

i just saw the movie last weekend. its BRILLIANT.... and I'm a heterosexual dude that doesn't care about valtentino or fashion.... or sun tans. that said, the movie is full on glamorous, riotous good fun.

Valentino is 75 years old. Looks damn good to me, tan or not. He is the last of the great coutouriers. See the film "Valentino The Last Emperor". It is only incidentally about his career; it is really about the 50 year relationship between Valentino and Giancarlo. Funny and touching and very important. A biography of a 20th century icon and his most important muse. A impressive portrait of an artist.
