  • The first place in the video is the dam between the island of Taulud and the land. But where is the place of the second part of the video? Is it in the harbour area north of the town?

  • That is correct, thanks for watching.

  • The Eritreans deserve a medal for the effort put into restorlng this railway.

  • a wonderful project made by italian genius

  • FABULOUS HORNBY TRAIN LIVE !

  • @girmawinet

No, the eight 442 locomotives were built in 1938-39. The first Ansaldo Mallet locos (gruppo 440) arrived were built in 1911-1914.

  • No, the Ansaldo 442 was built in the 30s (I remember 1938, but i'm not sure)

  • No, is before ! The Ansaldo 442 steam power is of 1887. To see the train of Mussolini's time you have to watch the related video of "The Littorina". The Littorina was build in 1935.

  • No!

  • That must be the slowest train I've ever seen but this was probably in the time of Mussolini.

  • The rebuilding of this Railway after its destruction by the war proves that Eritrean People are capable of many things.

Indeed this could be used as a monument to their ingenuity and a new and effective one may be built in the future.
