Operation Market-Garden was an unsuccessful Allied campaign fought in German-occupied Netherlands in September 1944 during the Second World War. It was famous for conducting the largest airborne (parachute) operation of that time.
The battles were fought in pockets having most of the allied forces trapped or cut off from supplies underestimating German resistance, uncoordinated moves between the American and British troops and other logistical blunders. These forced the allies to evacuate control points and failed to cross the bridge over the Rhine, infamously dubbed, "A Bridge Too Far".

@TruthRaider George Patton was an American general known for his flamboyant behaviour. He always carried two pearl handled guns ''cowboy style'' on his waist band and believed he was the incarnation of Alexander the great.
His best known feat was the mad dash north to the ''Ardens'' ending the battle of the bulge.
He also proposed a tank push trough the ''sigfried line''(to the east), as opposed to market garden(to the north). His plan was rejected in favour of Montgomery's plan.

this happens due to lack of coordination between the british americans and polish troops and completely relying on light paratroopers with no armor support
