I live on the east coast USA. What time is 22:00, universal time? Is that 10:00PM? In which case I might not get to see it but if it's earlier then I'd like to go check it out. I live near the ocean so seeing the sunrise or sunset is not so dangerous, it'll be like a giant red/orange ball with a little black dot passing across it.

Will I be able to see it from Athens? I saw at: eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/transit/venus/city12-1
but I can't understand... Please tell me if it is visible from Athens. Thanks!

Yes, it will be visible June 6, in the morning at sunrise. You will see the last 1.5 hours of the transit.

Wonderful video and heads up! Did Jeremiah Horrocks really only live from 1618-1641? He would have only been 23 years of age when he died.
