I'm very sorry. He looked like he was a very good bird, too.
I just bought a parrotlet a few days ago. She was hand fed, but since then she hasn't really been socialized. So seeing a bird do that shows me what a long way I have to go.

Oooops, Pizza again. Bonsai wasn't a yellow fallow after all (my silly parrotlet brain working over-time here...duhhhh) but your tricks are similar and gonna write your mom and see how you do those neat things! PizzaPipn'

Hi Beavis! I'm Pizza writing to say what a smart, smart birdie you are. I saw Bonsai too and we all 3 are yellow fallow parrotlets; how about that?! Boombella is my mentor with the camera so maybe one day you will see me and her Beanie Boy on your list. Did you ever see PizzaPete...he was my "brother" and a hard act to follow. Pizza's mom, Gae

Your bird is so smart! Well, ofcourse, it was also your brilliant training. How did you do it?

A lot of trust and patience. Every time I catch him doing something cute like scratching his head, I'd make a signal w/ my hand, tell him good boy and then treat. After a few dozen times, he'll would get it.
Unfortunately, Beavis died last december. He was only 6 months old. He was the smartest pet I've ever had.
