bright but neither are impressive, dark cree ring donut and artifacts in both are obvious, the nature of these Chinese lights, now with good optics like Surfire TIR can turn Cree into something stunning, bought an E2DL defender and it is in another class altogether, worth every penny considering beam quality, form factor, and outstanding warranty
