FFXI was not only the best MMO I ever played but also the best game I ever played period. Too bad Abyssea and the lv99 cap ruined it completely and FFXIV sucks to boot. {/sigh} I feel screwed ><

Game was too difficult and the levels were set way too high. Any new player walking in for the first time would look at the challenge and decide to play another game.

Wow was easier than 11. But it was still pretty hard...It roped in a lot of casuals, making them think it would be an easy game since everyone could solo up to 60. But then came the instances. And the casuals were raped.

@shinigamiabarairenji thats true..I miss old times when level caps was 75 and CoP was still harder than killing a worm outside bastok >.< they killed all the fun..

I played with the warrior, Donjarfi, on Unicorn server when he transferred over from Leviathan :) Miss the game and all my buddies in it so much... I don't miss the headaches of camping and drama of gear that never dropped though ROFL!

@KittyMel05 Actually Asura overtook Odin as of March 2010 with the merger of Asura and Pandaemonium.

@starscream99 Odin server has the most, Asura I think was ranked 3rd or 2nd. Its been awhile lol I played on Alexander and at that time it was ranked 4th or 5th, read it up on a FFXI survey awhile back xD

@Xplosiv08 I agree. The time playing FFXI seems less wasted than with WoW. Plus the battle system and item system is much better, as well as having a better economy than WoW, FFXI sets the standard for MMORPG Playability. Just my opinion.

dude, if this video was the trailer for FFXI, i tell you, the world would probably not need a XIV as a MMO... probably. i wont say for sure. but its just how awesome this video is
