Curren$y - Flying Iron feat. Fiend (HD)

Shante Scott Franklin, born April 4, 1981, better known by his stage name Curren$y, is an American rapper from New Orleans, Louisiana.

Curren$y signed with Amalgam Digital to release his debut album, This Ain't No Mixtape, in 2009. Curren$y also released his second album, Jet Files, through Amalgam Digital in 2009

Curren$y's third album, Pilot Talk, was released on July 13, 2010. Prior to the album's release, there was news of Pilot Talk being released under a newly relaunched Roc-A-Fella Records.However, Curren$y stated in interviews with both XXL and Complex Magazine that the album would be released under Damon Dash's DD172 record label division, BluRoc Recordsand distributed through Def Jam Recordings. Curren$y makes numerous appearances on labelmate Ski Beatz' debut studio album, 24 Hour Karate School, which was released on September 21, 2010. Curren$y's fourth album, Pilot Talk II, was released on November 22, 2010and it featured Fiend and Raekwon, among others.

On February 1, 2011 it was announced that Curren$y signed and secured a label deal with Warner Bros for his imprint, Jet Life Recordings. He has hopes to drop disc by his artist Trademark Da Skydiver, Young Roddy and Street Wiz. Curren$y will release his fifth album Muscle Car Chronicles on March 15. After Muscle Car Chronicles is released Curren$y's first project on Warner Bros. will be a 10-12 song EP completely produced by The Alchemist called Covert Coup, which will be released on April 19 for free, according to the Jets Fool Blog.Pilot Talk III is set to be released May 2011 and mentioned the possibility of it being a free album. A Jet Life sampler, an album called Puff Daddy and a DJ Drama Gangsta Grillz mixtape called Verde Terrace, which was released on August 23, 2011. Verde Terrace was widely accepted by Curren$y's fanbase and gained 49,696 downloads in part of 204,427 views within 24 hours of its release.
