Messing up at home with some arabic/turkish music.. This is one of my favourite pieces.. The base maqam is Bayati, with a first modulation on Husseini and a second one on Hijaz. It's still missing another last modulation with maqam Sabaa..

Done with:
- Egypt made Qanun (Sukar Qanun)
- Turkish Oud
- Access Virus Powercore
- Wizoo Darbuka
- Adobe After Effects

  • hey.. thanks!

yeah I skipped the last khana.. which is indeed faster..the last khana has a modulation on maqam sabaa..

I think this samai was written by ibrahim efendi, a sufi mystic from istanbul, 17th century..

  • very good ... well done

i like this samai ... but I have some questions I couldn't find an answer for:

    - who is the author of this samai ?

    - why it is fourth khana is not based on a fast rythm like other samai's?
