  • After just hearing about narcolepsy I decided to search for some videos about it on youtube. At first I thought it was funny, seeing dogs with it. But now I feel really bad and I can't imagine living with this. Were you born with narcolepsy or did you develop it later in life?

  • @dlt4gywlt4gy I got narcolepsy around the age of 7. Thanks for your comment.

  • Did you always have these conditions? I mean since you were born?

Is there any hope for a cure anytime soon, or in the future at the moment ?

  • Not that I know of at the moment...

  • Thanks for your interest Jenren87, it means a lot that others are taking an interest in narcolepsy and want to understand it. Thanks...

  • im so happy for you, theres a programe on channel 4 sometime next week about people with narcolepsy but u probably already know about it.

  • No thanks to people like you I didn't miss it. Thanks!

  • @daud8472 Thank you for sharing your experience. I have Narcolepsy diagnosis 18 years now & watching your video reminds me of the seemingly "small" successes. It's such a wonderful experience when you are enjoying something without reminders of narcolepsy. I highly recommend oliver saks book "anthropologist on mars" which helped me discover "benefits" for having a condition & adaptations . We are more than narcolespy. Thanks again for the video.

  • it made me cry i was so happy for him !

  • Well done, I don't know what else to say, you are a strong, intelligent man. Karen is a great carer as well. Good luck to you!

  • Wonderful vids. Thank you so much for sharing and I wish you all the best!

  • hey Muhamed, I'm suffering from narcolepsy for 6 years. Since march this year I've got the diagnosis. For staying awake I take Vigil which is an amphetamin and against the cataplexy I take Citalopram, an antidepressant. I am german so I don't know if these are the english names as well but maybe it'll help you. And there is something else I want to say.go out and live your life. all the best to you

  • good to see you getting out and about. its cool to see you dont just sit around feeling sorry for yourself. all the best to you

  • I just want to say that I really appreciate your videos! I think I am going down the road to a diagnosis of Narcolepsy myself (current diagnosis of Idiopathic Hypersomnia). It's nice to see videos about this disorder. I, too, want to get the word out to people.

  • you're lovely

  • so very interesting, and brave of you to share, the people out there need to know more about this and how you manage, so, again thank you for sharing, and keep doing what you are doing...

  • I am sorry for your struggles, and if I may compliment... You have a wonderful smile and laugh!
