You're safely in your bed, covered to your head, is it a dream or are you awake?
Open up your eyes, come to realize it is the start of a new day.
Go -- feet upon the ground, take a look around -- nothing could convince you to stay.
Put all your clothes on, hurry up and run -- who has the time to wait, anyway?
Go on and live your life, take a step outside -- you don't need a hat, you can face the wind.
Things are looking up, the storm is winding down, another one might come, but who knows when?

We all fall down, nothing turns out as we intend. You smash it up, and it all comes crashing down...again.

Spotlight comes around... it takes these doubts and one by one they tumble down.
Push the button, make us go, go... it's been a while since I have fallen head o-ver heels.
Show me there's a truth... bring me down, take my hand and lead me to it.
You want to know me, me... take my shadows, throw them off, I'm underneath.

If you wanna take a chance and try to start us, try to start us up.
All you need to do is turn the key to make us... run.

Hurry and get on... take me faster, make me feel like I am airborn.
Traveling at such speeds -- such speeds. I wanted to go straight, but now we're swerving through the trees...

And now I understand why my heart's really racing... it's because these insecurities are giving chase...

Circle me around now... c'mon, take us home and shut the engine down.
I cover up again... again.
I might show myself another time but who knows when...
