Since Jim Thurman has recently passed away, I'm presenting one of his little known works: an animated adaptation of a Harry Allard/James Marshall book, "It's So Nice to Have a Wolf Around the House."
This film was made by the creative team who worked on several neat cartoons for Sesame Street, including the popular "Teeny Little Super Guy" series. Paul Fierlinger designed, directed and co-scripted the film, Thurman also scripted and supplied voices, and Larry Gold did the music.
Rest in peace, Jim. You rocked our world.
I just LOVE this. I've been looking for a copy. Anyone know if it's available anywhere. I seem to have lost my grainy VHS multi-generational copy and have been so sad. I want to share it with my kids.
This is just a great piece!

Holy crap. I'm 37. The last time I saw this was in 2nd grade when my school had a fundraiser carnival at night, and along with the different rooms set aside for knocking down cans, duck ponds, etc. there was a cartoon room that showed a new cartoon every 15 minutes (with an actual old time projector on a screen that was pulled down from the ceiling). I never forgot this cartoon OR Jim Thurman's voice, and I just LOL'ed at the, "I was in Germany during the war," joke. Good memories.

That's fun... I was always a fan of Teeny Little Super Guy, so it's cool to see this. Also, I like that the wolf quotes Spike Jones records.
