All Around Me - A Jemi Movie Part 17

-Joe-
We head out the store, our arms brushing against each other as we walked side by side.
My heart beginning to race, her smiling face looks up at me, Thanks, she softly whispers.
I nod, sliding my keys out of my pocket, no problem.
Unable to unlock my car door, she takes my hand, squeezing it slightly.
Like this, she instructs, taking my hand, gently moving it so I unlock the door.
I look away from her, blushing a deep red.
Thanks, I mutter before stepping inside.
She makes her way into the passenger seat, a bright smile plastered onto her face.
I pull out of the driveway, an awkward, but peaceful silence between us.
Her gaze turns to the window, the sun shining in and illuminating her angelic features.
I shake my head, turning away from her, theres no way I could be falling for her, right?
I sigh, impatiently tapping my fingers on the steering wheel, trying to pre-occupy myself from turning her way.
Joe, she calls out, can you stop by for some Italian ice?
I turn to her, unable to look away, sure.
She slowly turns on the radio, studying a notebook on the side of my car.
What is that?, she asks, reaching down for it.
I gaze out the window, avoiding her eyes, um, not sure, cant see.
She giggles.
God, I think Ive just found my new favorite sound.
Butterflies swarm my stomach as she places her hands on my cheeks, silly, she says, turn around.
My head turns towards her, our faces now inches apart.
Her hot breathe tingles against my now warm skin.
She smiles, ducking down to pick up my notebook.
This!, she says, fiercely shaking it in my face.
I shrug, I dont know, I dont keep track of everything in my car.
She nods, holding something up, this explains the raccoon?
I let out a shriek, causing Demi to laugh, I was kidding! Its just a sweater.
I sigh in relief, playfully pushing her to the side, jerk.
A smirk stretches across her face, Im sorry, but I thought that Joe Jonas couldve handled something like that.
I roll my eyes, suddenly growing cold, yeah, but theres a lot of things you dont know about me.
My head turns to the window, a dark shadow growing across my face.
After a few minutes of silence, I hear Demis voice reciting:

It's been years in the making
In my skin, I'm shaking from the cold
I am tired from the taking
And my heart won't stop breaking
And I know, I know
Moving forward
Can't be this hard

My eyes widen as I turn to her, Demis eyes saddened as she turns to me.
Y-you wrote this?
I nod, looking away sheepishly.
She places her hand on top of the paper, stroking it gently and reciting the lyrics once again, her eyes closing slowly.
I pull up to the front of the Italian ice stand, Demi?, I call out to her.
She stays still, her eyes closed shut, Demi?, I call out again, shaking her gently.
She opens her eyes, which are now drowning in tears.
My heart sinks as I watch the tears stream down her face.
I cant see her like this, I wrap my arms around her as she buries her face into my chest.
She whimpers silently, clutching to me.
My shirt may be soaking wet now, but I didnt care, there was only one thing on my mind.
That one thing was that I wanted to see her smiling face again.
I pull her onto my lap, softly whispering in to her ear as I done the night before, shh, its ok, its just me.
Her breathing begins to slow down at the sound of those words, she turns to me, her eyes red from the crying.
J-Joe, she stutters, please take me home.
My eyebrows furrow, What, why?
She shakes her head, P-please.
I sigh, setting her off my lap and driving towards her house.
My mind begins to wander, my thoughts now revolving around one thing.
Demi.
I glance over at my notebook, thinking back to when I had written those words.
My heart seems to shatter the more I remember that day, the day I swore Id forget.
As I swerve to the left, my gaze goes back to Demi.
Her big amber brown eyes now glistening with tears, giving me an urge to grab a hold of her, and make it all better.
Even if I know I cant.
She sniffles silently, her head leaning on the car door.
My eyes not being able to look away, I sigh, shaking my head.
After 2 days this girl has got me head over heels for her.
Its driving me insane, my arms, aching to hold onto her, my lips pleading to be onto hers, my heart, wanting to be in its rightful place.
I sigh, knowing that a girl like her would never like a guy like me.
Having my heart broken most of the time, I know not to try.
Rosalie.
My heart ached just thinking about her, all the pain shed cause me.
My hope, shattered, my feelings, twisted.
No matter how much I told myself not to fall for her, it wouldnt stop my knees from going weak when she smiled.
My heart from racing whenever she laughed.
Joe?, my thoughts were interrupted by Demis warm and soothing voice.
Mhmm, I replied, keeping my eyes on the road.
