You can't fully make a comparison between the two, when you haven't even played WoW to the fullest. Also you are leaning towards Runescape. I have been 85 on WoW since Cata came out, and I used to play Runescape until about level 100. They are both games that will get boring eventually, and they are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT, You cannot compare games that don't even play the same way. Just because they are both MMO's doesn't mean they are a thing alike.
because both are very excellent and well thought out games which can be fun if you are willing to play and work hard so you can enjoy them. When you're playing WoW but start to get a bit tired of the Combat based theme or any other aspect of the game, you can try switching to Runescape to switch things up. Or you can switch to Wow from Runescape when you're a bit tired of trying to earn your money (or whatever you do on it).
These are just the main things that make both WoW and Runescape good. For WoW, you can either stick to only a combat based line where you level a character, get new spells, etc. Or you can play Runescape and have much more to do in the game, such as skilling, fighting bosses, being very socially active (unlike WoW, because as he Iomegadrive1 said in the video, it's not a very social game). In my opinion, it's a great choice to just switch between the two every once in awhile.....
But, to get to be able to unlock the really fun content of Runescape, you have to be able to do quests (which are much more complicated and well done than WoW quests. Plus they are a lot more fun), and you have to have a LOT of cash to train your buyable skills. This means that if you are very unlucky with bosses, or have no patience with skilling, you will almost never have the money to become better in the game. SO....
Is still interesting as you get to level up your character and get better gear and spells, plus you'll be able to unlock new dungeons and areas to quest in. For Runescape, it's very economically based, as Leivve said. The way you play the game is determined by how much money you have, and patience. For Runescape, you have several ways to make your money which is obviously skilling (Gathering skills mostly), bosses, merchanting, etc. This gives a much greater variety of things to do....
Okay, this is a very good comparison, in my opinion. I am currently a Runescape Veteran who has played it for a little over 5 years now, and I was addicted. Now, I've gotten tired of getting screwed because of some of the bad things in the game. And off and on, I've played WoW for about a year or two. I can honestly say that they are evenly good. Their differences balance them out. For World of Warcraft, it's ALL combat based (except for the few professions). This can become tiring, but....
@ChayioIndano to fuel the economy. you don't sit down and play this game for hours on end, you log in set a goal; chop 50 logs or something then log out. everything (real life included) is a grind if you make it that.
WoW is combat driven, which as you said gets stale very fast.
Runescape is economy driven; in MY opinion combat is the weakest part of the game, but that's OK because your not even going to be spending most of your time fighting; maybe early on, but once you reach level 20 combat level it starts to take a back seat.
Actually most of the areas are open to any level, it's just if you're level 10, and going into a lvl 50 zone, you'll be pulling those opponents and they will pretty much kill you instantly, so that's why they would off limit certain areas.
WoW is way better then shitscape this is not even a comparison runeshit is 6$ a month for pixel ass shit.. its arguably the worst game ever made WoW is the best game ever made its just a better game and im not a fanboy i just tell the truth.

@Leivve No crap? I'm talking about in terms of gameplay. Runescape offers nothing after the grind is done.
ChayioIndano 1 month ago
@ChayioIndano you don't get anything from reaching max level in any other game.
Leivve 1 month ago
@Leivve Yet you get nothing out of finishing the goal in the game do ya?

@Leivve Runescape is grind driven. You are repeating the same action over and over for every skill. What do you get for it? A useless cape..
