I heard her TV show as a teenager visiting NYC, but only discovered she sang with Duke Ellington this past year. What a shame I missed so much

In 1974 Joya gave my then fiancee a bridal shower. She then found the reception hall and organized the decoration of it. She was a class act, both generous and elegant. She adored my fiancee and I was glad to know Joya for the time that I did.
