Spyro - Dragon Rhapsody 2008

Happy 1 year at Youtube for me! Even though it came and past yesterday with nothing more than a mere bulletin, I'm glad I've managed to survive this long.

For the occasion I've been meaning to mark it with an update on the first video that I ever made here, and that was a Spyro the Dragon tribute vid that played more akin to how I could see the series given treatment at Videogames Live. Since then, it gave birth to a following album of arrangements from the first four titles, an advancement to a Crash Bandicoot album with a similar premise and a coming variety project next week, so I am really happy with how far it showed itself as a means of direction for a fair chunk of my YT actions.

So yes, we've got a bigger medley and a more refined set of video footage. Gone is the interlaced and flossy audio encoding of the previous vid, so we've got a cleaner input on display. And I hope the additions make it all the more worthwhile too.

spyro 4 sucked sorry im a huge spyro fan but spyro 4 had very few levels, many glithes and the game was very confusing they could spent a little bit longer on this game!

I know that Enter the Dragonfly was very below average for a Spyro game, but please refrain from game criticisms and just comment on the video next time :)

Well, the original 2007 medley (minus the Eternal Night additions) was done in the space of a week. Adding in the extra 2-3 days for the aforementioned new part and re-mastering, I can say it took nearly 2 weeks at the max to get it done.

You know, I seem pretty stupid to ask this but uhh.... how is the keyboard piano connected to your PC? USB or what?

There's the USB connection for the MIDI interface to work - for the sound, an audio jack is used to connect the headphone jack for the keyboard and the blue line-in port at the back of the computer together.

Ah! So the song played at the A New Beginning part is the boss theme for Ripto. I wasn't sure at first 'cause I'm used to hearing the opera singing in the background. XD
