U.S. Embassy Begins Processing Visas in Podgorica

On July 21, Montenegrin Foreign Minister Milan Rocen and U.S. Ambassador to Montenegro Roderick W. Moore officially announced the start of U.S. visa application processing in Podgorica in a ceremony held at the U.S. Embassy.

The ceremony marked the beginning of the processing U.S. visa applications for the first time in Montenegro's history. Following the opening of the new Consular Section, Minister Rocen and Ambassador Moore addressed the media. The media also had the opportunity to film an applicant, who will be participating in a U.S. Government-funded program in the United States, demonstrating the visa interview and finger scanning process.
