What the hell gives people the idea that they have the right to dictate how other people live or by whom they consider themselves. Hate is wrong all the time! It's case's like this that make me question my fellow man. I think the justice system has fail all around, why else would John Lotter be sitting on death row but not Tom Nissen? The answer to this question we may never know. I insist we start a petition in all the 50 states to gain harsher punishments for hate crimes!

@HelenaXVI They had known each other their whole lives Falls City is a very small kinda redneck community real Mayberry ish so everybody knows everybody cause this is where they all have been their entire lives and in places like that no outsider is ever really accepted. i know this because I live in a similar community

Can someone explain to me what the relationship of Brandon's murderers was to Lena and her family? (Or whatever her real name is). Were they just friends? It the movie it looks like they were very close, family-like friends...

this it is probablly one of the most tragic stories i have ever heard in my life. And comming from a gay female , It is hard to to fit in with those who dont accept you for who you are.
Teena Brandon , Had amazing courage & I admire her for that... She will always be rememberd by me , She deserves to be rememberd.
And as for those bastards who did that to her just becuase she wasnt like them , they can rot in hell
