  • Mir gefällt deine Version besser, als die, die ich auf CD habe :)(Vladimir Ashkenazy)

  • Wow, das is mal n Kompliment. Vielen Dank!!

  • Schumann's music was not a senseless clatter of notes.

  • In m. 12 you're ignoring the "f" dynamic mark written under each of the two chords ending the phrase. You're playing them softer not loud and accented as Schumann writes them. A good careful and thorough re-reading of the score will get you a really improved version. You play too well to be this careless. Best of luck.

  • Julian - you need to take a more careful look at the score. The chords are marked staccato except where they are slurred. You're missing slurs where they occur (m. 3 for instance) and slurring where there are no slurs (m. 6, 8, etc.) You're also misreading notes - for instance you're playing D-flat in m. 11 where it should be D-natural (you repeat the mistake at m. 84).

  • you coudl play it more clearly.

  • more feeeeeling

  • A very musical performance . . . your phrasing is very nice, and I think the tempo is appropriate . . . I really wouldn't take it very much faster, if at all. It's generally marked at 108, and nowhere does the score say "Schnell." This piece is basically a march.

If I may offer a few suggestions based on my opinion:

1.) Quieter in the trio - project the melody and the bass. Subdue the accompaniment.

2.) Take more time in the counterpoint section - go slower.

3.) Save some power for the end!

  • That was really good!

but the tempo for this piece is supposed to be a little bit faster.

    Keep up the great work!

  • Nice interpretation. Very measured. Very thoughtful.

  • this is a lot better than the first recording...but yea...it's been too long since I played this song...so I can't really be one to judge. My teacher got me to play this a bit faster. The adjudicator said that I wasn't lyrical enough...so yea.... Good work though!
