antioch main leak

This documentation of water leakage at Antioch College's historic Main Building was discovered on Saturday, February 7, 2009. A resident of Yellow Springs walking through campus noticed the water soaked bricks and decided to have a closer look. Antioch University is in charge of the maintenance and care of this building.

what a waste! It's truly breaking my heart...

spent fall&winter 95/96 on campus & reported for the Record about problems they had (caused?!) when "renovating" South Hall; about Spalt (or "Splat") and the waste of resources there. The President called me into this office to tell me he dislikes my writings and that it gives him a harder time raising Alumni-Money, who mostly had subscribed to The Record... And the Board o.T. simply didn't care at all!

what came first the cart or the horse, and then ask yourself why the university absorbed college and renamed it ... naracissism, that's the university's MO when they chose to forget where the power of there "brand" identity came from and where such unique ideas that they profit from, began ... they sold there soul a long time ago and they have slowly squeezed the life out of the college till its now left for dead strewn through this waterlogged bulding and the other abandoned ones.

I'm someone who's lived in Y.S. for 42 years with a front-row seat at the decline and demise of Antioch College, and the kind of thinking I'm talking about is that which springs from the childishness and narcissism of someone who would suggest that a takeover of the campus by an armed mob would be helpful, who leaps to the assumption that someone with a different perspective must be "speaking out of (his) ###", and who blithely makes paranoiac accusations against the University administration.

and you are, and what kind of thinking ... so you know any of the back story or are you just speaking out of you ###, i'm a frusrated alum ... i'm an active member of a chapter and were trying our best ... fact is the university which is called Antioch wouldn't exist if the college wasn't founded in 1865 ... the university has slowly bleed us of everything over a 25 yr period, and with such back stabbing means ... its more profitable to have a graduate school with little to no overhead

That's just the kind of "thinking" that led to the ruin of Antioch College.

lets just get a gang togather, light some torches and run the university fools off the prpoerty ... there five feet away and its the winter and pipes in a building not being used should be inspected in such a case ... i want a to organize a coup ... i can't take it anymore ... univ wants the school to fall apart, its in their best interests
