ندا آقا سلطان (۱۳۶۱ - ۳۰ خرداد ۱۳۸۸)‌ در جریان اعتراضات مردمی به نتایج انتخابات ۲۲ خرداد 1388 در روز شنبه ۳۰ خرداد ۱۳۸۸ (۲۰ ژوئن ۲۰۰۹) در سن ۲۷ سالگی در محلهٔ امیر آباد تهران (خیابان کارگر شمالی، تقاطع خیابان شهید صالحی و کوچهٔ خسروی) به ضرب گلوله کشته شد. خبرگزاری سی ان ان از یک وبلاگ نویس نقل قول کرده که این کار را به نیروهای شبه نظامی بسیجی نسبت می‌دهد.انتشار فیلم کوتاهی از لحظات جان سپردن وی بازتاب‌های فراوانی در رسانه‌های جهان به‌دنبال داشت «ندا» در خارج از ایران و در ایران، بعنوان سمبل ندای اعتراض ایرانیان و ندای آزادی خواهی ایرانیان و سمبل صدای اعتراض دمکراسی خواهان در این اعتراضات شناخته می‌شود Neda Soltani (1982 June 20, 2009; age 2627) was an Iranian woman whose killing, allegedly by Basij militia during the 2009 Iranian election protests, was captured on video by bystanders The graphic videos were posted on the Internet, and her name quickly became a rallying cry for the opposition. Neda means "voice" or "calling" in Persian, and she has been referred to as the "voice of Iran" and "a symbol of pro-democracy protesters battering the Islamic regime" in the World.
