Instructable video using readily available tools and materials in the kitchen, in order to cast pewter metal. A mix of salt, water and flour is used instead of sand. Entire process carried out in the kitchen.

    Will defo give this ago, it seems that I have everything I need in t' house t' make what I want. If you're using pewter is it similar to lead free solder, ie. mainly tin?

  • @iandaniell I have sand but it is hard to find Clay would tis work with and and flour if I use the same 2/3 sand 1/3 flour recipe?

  • Nice. only really good for low temp casting but still nice to make pewter test casts before making the big one
