Note: The video may look a little strange because I used two different aspect ratios while filming, I apologize. This gear edition of Storm The Wire Video includes an overview of some items recently purchased at Historical Military Surplus - a honest to goodness military surplus store in the old vein. Excellent stuff. Items include rip-stop polyester Cold Weather Coat Liner, two m-16 magazine pouches (each purportedly carries three 30-round magazines), two genuine MREs, one fake MRE, 1 qt. USGI canteen including nylon cover with pouch, 2 qt. flexible canteen bladder with nylon cover, both canteens have M-1 canteen tops for use with gas mask drinking tube, ACU army combat uniform - field shirt and trousers.

I have one ot these 2 quart canteens and can't get the lid to fit down tightly. It will act like it's cross threading and it will leak. Do you have this problem? Do you know how to fix it? I like the canteen but it is unusable in its current condition.

Whatever you do,..Do not throw away MRE outer bag, they're great for waterproofing items such as manuals,socks ect,..They're way better than baggies cause the're strong & will last...

The fake MREs are real, that's the way the military packages them inside the think outer bag

M.R.E's are alot better than the former I.M.P's. they have less food but better quallity
