This tune is not known in much of the country, but Bill "Raunchy" Justis spent several weeks in the Chicago Top 10 in May 1963 with this Tahitian "Dance of Love" Song. On the WLS survey shown, "Tamouré" is No. 7. For a MUCH better image of this survey, click here:

  • Heres one that you may not know but was played everywhere other than where YOU live! The video is almost as good as the song- its a girlie on girlie psycho a go go!

  • this got to number one is Oz ! HUGE hit here for most of the year

  • Great song!I remember it hitting Number One on the CKGM Top 50 Hits in June of 1963.

  • It was also sung in German by the Tahiti Tamoures ("Wini Wini") and I found

    a Dutch version of that song too.
