  • I don't have any more information other then it must of taken place between 1963 and 1970 based only on sea kings comming into service in'63 and the bonnie being paid off in '70.

  • I used to work on both A-4s & the last of the S-2s (US-2Bs) in the U.S. Navy. Any old S-2 hands remember the rudder trimmer valves ? Rudder assist sys. ? I also did considerable support work for the H-3.

  • A government inspector at my old workplace had served in the Bonnie. He told me they tried out A-4 SkyHawks but they were a bit too tricky to land on a carrier that size. One of them slammed down so hard it knocked the undercarriage strut up through the wing!

  • my dad used to fly off the bonnie in a grumman tracker

  • Does anyone know what this event was and the time and date that it happened? dseymour?

  • my Dad used to sail on the bonnie.
