I have just seen your other post tonytiff and do agree with you in principle giving consent does speed up the process , but I think a lot of the resentment is brought on by the police themselves and this puts certain people on the argumentative trail beforehand. You can refuse a search under section60 if you have not acted in a way to warrent the search. But then again they could refuse you access ??? (I think )

Thats the point tonytiff yes we pay them , and my argument would be, yes some stop and searches are under certain circumstances needed to help to protect everybody BUT a section 60 is a spot check and is not used as a blanket search which this was clearly being done. And it has nothing to do with (if you have nothing to hide) they have to have reasonable suspision to carry out a section 60. So to keep people waiting for up to 4 hrs means they reasonably suspected Everybody ????

I do understand the argument that if you have nothing to hide then consent to search etc. That goes both ways, don't stop people filming if YOU have nothing to hide. After all we are paying them to look after our safety but like most people I just feel nervous when I see a policeman and I break no law.

@DtTV94 We,ll still be using oi and coal l in 100 years, there is plenty so dont worry!
-
@boombum1 Well the oil is going to run out in around 2018. That means by that time, if we havent got another renewable power source... We're fucked!
-
Will do, at least that way I won't be mugged by someone carrying a knife.
Also I won't loose power because someone from "climate camp" blew up a power station.
