Many people have critics on James Labrie, but when I hear him sing I can really hear the emotion and expression in his voice. You can FEEL that he means it; THATS what makes this magical! (apart from the great instrumental sections)

Whilst true, it does cover the feelings that occur when someone realises they've lost someone they love. That's what's so good about this concept album, is that even through a fictional concept, in each song they relate it back to experiences and feelings that people in the real world have. Which is why so many people can relate to Nicholas through the different stages in the album. :)
