JFK's speechwriters were notably gifted. While JFK certainly, utterly-sensibly had editorial + final-draft amendment rights / involvement .. these great landmark speeches of Kennedy's time-in-office come across as profoundly inspirational, even today. It all kinda puts most of the succeeding US Presidents into the shade by comparison, commencing with that unfortunate manipulative crook, LBJ. Real interesting to note that JFK uses the term "weapons of mass destruction" here, 1st time ever.
