I'm a Red fan and this sketch (show) just doesn't seem like the old Red stuff. Timing a bit off maybe? Not really funny either. I wouldn't say this is one of his better.

This was Red's short-lived half-hour show on NBC, Monday at 7:30, right before Laugh-In, which was past its prime. Red, Jackie Gleason and some other popular shows were purged from the CBS line-up because they attracted older viewers. NBC gave Red a shot, and it was nice to see Red in NBC color, which was always better than CBS's. But there is a slapdash, careless quality here, as if Red had already given up. Red never forgave CBS, and would trash its execs whenever he could.
