@krazykittykatkiller The fact that they have nukes is a superficial factor as to why no one has removed Kim Jong Il from the power, even if they didn't have nuclear capability no one would because there's nothing to gain. few if any nations will invade and forcibly remove a governing power only because of the injustices they inflict on their populaces. they would only do so if there were some kind of large economical or political gain, hence why they've only been "negotiating" for so long

@krazykittykatkiller i never said we *should* go to war with North Korea, only that if it were to happen they would inevitable lose. of course we're not willing to risk the loss of life to the surrounding countries. the argument i was making with akeno was purely from a tactical standpoint.

@krazykittykatkiller As far as "no one wins a nuclear fight" North Korea has no blue water navy to speak of. they have no submarines to launch ICBMs off our coast, no carriers to launch nuclear armed fighters, nor do they have an ICBM that can be launched from their country and reach US territory. Further more they have no method of intercepting such threats themselves, whereas the US does. It would be a joke to even call it a nuclear "war" North Korea would be reduced to a crater within hours.
