Police in Bahrain have clashed with protesters following the funeral of a teenage boy who died during a demonstration at the weekend.

Witnesses near the capital Manama said security forces opened fire with tear gas, rubber bullets and stun grenades.

Opposition activists said 15-year-old Sayed Hashim Saeed died after being hit by a tear gas canister fired at close range on Saturday. Protests following his death have erupted in several parts of the country.

Al Jazeera's Azhar Sukri reports.
