Unfortunately. I just wish it weren't that way. I don't like the way that things are changing and starting to become.

Oh if you don’t care that they sold “a work in progress” as a 1.0 release then there is little point in arguing. I have seen alpha games run better than 1.0 War Z. I never said it was pay to win, but micro-transactions are supposed to be for FTP games to make money, not paid games. Also please send me a link to some evidence (a youtube video for example) that the War Z is unrecognisable from its release version, as I am not convinced that they have changed enough to make it an acceptable game.

I admit that it is clunky which is why they are modifying the engine. If the game is enjoyable and smooth then it doesn't matter if it was derived from the Arma engine. Dayz takes a more realistic approach so whether you want quick action or not is a matter of opinion. If a couple of reviewers gave the game a bad score then fair enough but there isn't one major critic who even said the game was decent to my konwledge and about the game being different now see next post. Also first part was sarcasm

I honestly don't give a fuck about any of that. I game to game. I'm a gamer. I'm not the fucking pope. I don't care.

Micro transaction system is fine. It's not the least bit pay2win or whatever some moron on the internet told you. It's fine. It's actually helpful to people who don't have time to loot. The rest of us just farm the shit no problem. You'd know that if you did your research. Game wasn't broken, more like a work in progress.

Yes, because that's exactly what I said. And actually, yes you can. It's an opinion. The opinion being that arma engine is not smooth and clunky as fuck. Not to mention the actual experience of dayz is tedious for those who just want to jump into action relatively quickly again and again. Also, have you read the reviews? I have. They are mostly shallow and most of the reviewers never even bothered to pick up a gun. It's a joke. Not to mention it's a different game now. So it means nothing.

I see you are hot wired to the hearts and souls of all gamers everywhere. If the reviews are good for Dayz standalone then it wont matter what engine it is on. I know you should never buy a game based entirely on reviews but come, you can't call War Z good and Arma 2 bad when War Z got 20% on metacritic and Arma 2 got 77%. I know you should never base opinions entirely on critics but look at that difference. War Z is less than 10% higher than Big Rigs.

Don't forget the moral issues, you know selling a broken game with micro-transactions. The reason why it was released so quickly and in such poor condition was to scrape as much money of the Dayz train as possible. Also ofc people who play War Z wont like Dayz, but it should be noted that the War Z is considered so bad that it one of the few games that steam has allowed refunds for. Titov is one of the worst developers I have seen and I mean that on a personal level (see wiki controversies page)

That's just how things are done these days. You're going to be seeing it more and more with online games.
