hi, hun. i was there, too, but i actually stayed til the end. i was about 20 feet away from the door when everything happened; when the car smoked and when the guy had the gun. sorry u had to endure that, but to blame tyra for everything is really unfair. this is the first time that this has ever happened, and tyra takes this seriously. this was the fault of the immature little girls that were there, along with the nypd for not doing their job. and don't ever give up on modeling :-) ur beautiful

I was there with you... somewhere in the line... Had I not made friends with the girls near me I would have been down being trampled. It was my birthday, and I could have been injured... It was very scary, and I'm glad that you weren't in the craziness... it was completely out of control.

I AGREE 100% GIRL!!

it was so UNORGANIZED. There was no signs to tell people where the line began or which direction it should go. And here is a tip TYRA, next time make it a two day audition for NY. Day one for people with last names beginning A-M and Day 2 N-Z .. Or some other sort of classification. AND be more specific of what you want.. more requirements would make for a smaller line. There was girls on the line that obviously didn't stand a chance (over 150lbs) need not apply!!

We'll update you on our plans very soon....I encourage each girl to come out ready to rock the runway and show off their fiercest pose. I'm rooting for all of you!"

Really, they're in their 12th season, they know how many girls try out for these things. They should have had

1) Paramedics on hand

2) Water and free snakc to keep the girls hydrated in case there was an emergency

3) Some kind of crowd control

4) a bigger venue with more audition stations to make the line go faster

These are not just auditioners, they are viewers, and human beings. In big groups like this you need to take safety precautions

Hi, I was there too. Thank you for your video, because I agree with you 100%!! This casting call couldn't have been anymore unorganized! Lucky for no one was seriously hurt, but it could have been a possiblity. They broadcast the audition on commerical and all over the news...What were they Expecting?? It so Unbelievable and it is ALSO an experience that I WILL NEVER FORGET!!

Thanks for the 1st-person-account, which you described very well. My niece related her experience in another city, orderly, but still ridiculous in the amount of time spent on the side walk in bad weather-- 6 hours or more. They were seen as a big group of 15 or more all at once, when she thought she would have been able to at least have a 30 second conversation with someone. It was poorly planned, and although it wasn't dangerous for her it was still a disappointment. I'm glad you were safe!

i feel your pain it happen to me and my friends as well it was hell and you are lucky you left cause you would have been going crazy. They are having casting again and to be honest i dont think alot people will show up but thanks for posting and if Tyra is reading you should have way better seucrity and you should talk to the people that hold the american idol casting because they have huge numbers of people and you never hear about somthing like this happening.
