Americas Wild Horses*The True Story (Please read description)

It is estimated that about 33,000 wild horses and burros are roaming on BLM-managed rangelands. Wild horses have almost no natural predators and their herd sizes can double about every four years. As a result, the BLM has to remove animals from the range each year to control herd sizes and keep the mustangs from dieing of starvation. Off the range, there are nearly 30,000 other wild horses that are fed and cared for at short-term and long-term holding facilities. To ensure that herd sizes are in balance with other public rangeland resources and uses, the BLM removed 7,726 wild horses and burros from the range in 2007. The BLM is doing everything that they can to keep he mustangs free, but its a win lose situation. If we simply left them all free than they would all starve to death. The BLM has recently made several emergency gatherings because there were bands that were at the brink of starvation-You could see their bones. As is the BLM sets the healthier, sturdier horses back so that when they breed the foals will be more likely to survive.

We all want for the mustangs to be free, but not all of them can. Trust me, if they could we would let them. But your video leads people to believe that the BLM is doing evil when all they're doing is saving the mustangs.

Yes, I am familiar, but honestly don't see how this will work when she's buying property that borders public land and letting them rome free. How does you prupose she keeps them on her property?

Gorgeous work. This world needs more folks like you. I happen to know that you do not only do creative piece like this, but I have heard tell that you train and help place multiple mustangs. The American mustang is who we as a people "rode in on" There ancestors were here before mine. They deserve the respect you are giving them everyday. Thanks....

If the BLM has to do the roundups I want them to be "humane" by the dictionary definition. Check out my video and petition if you too would like to see the BLM be humane in roundups. If the BLM is doing such a great job then why don't they let the public observe the roundups?

The mustangs are not starving..unless their water and food is blocked off by ranchers...on public lands. Cows and profit are the problem.. not the horses! Wolfswren,,,every assumption that you post is inaccurate. do you prefer to be known as a horse hater, rather than a what did you call us blind animal rights people. We are against cruelty.. 40,000+ mustangs in holding pens have no chance of being adopted. The American citizen is paying millions to feed them in their pens each year.

The us already has an overpopulation in domestic horses, why send these to slaughter? The wild mustangs shouldn't be gathered up at such numbers. It makes me feel disgusted at what people just do for their stupid selfish reasons such as cattle grazing. They, the mustangs, need to have a voice so that once and for all, they can roam freely and safely.

@Wolfswren If you could read correctly you would see that I said hundreds / thousands not hundreds of thousands lol and nope I am not on their payroll and I don't wish to be on the payroll because then I would have to deal with all the blind one sided animal rights people everyday who seem to think starving to death and roaming wild is a much better life then being rounded up and adopted out where they can live fat and happy. so I would suggest you take your own advice and open YOUR mind.

the sheeple will believe the blm is doing good for these horses. LEAVE THEM WILD & FREE instead of STEALING THEIR LAND FOR GREED MONEY OIL FOR CATTLE DOGFOOD WHATEVER. SAD!!

@sheepgirl66 She doesn't have to keep them on her own property. There are free-roaming laws in place that allow owned livestock (like horses, cows & bison) to roam free in certain areas.

Right now the BLM with the help of Catoor Livestock via helicopters is chasing herds with week old babies over treacherous ground at breakneck speed for the Tuscarora round up. So far 12 horses have died..... you've have bought into the BLM lies & cover up. These horses belong to the American people and I'm sick of my tax $ paying the salaries of these evil liars. If it's so good why won't they allow public observation.... Horses are dying while the BLM is lying.
