I still think the creature Marshall Bowman transformed into was a giant chupacabra, a legendary porcupine-like creature that was believed to be an alien.

i am assuming you didnt know what the clue in the episode was for the next one.. i think it could be the words ZFT on the motel sign when olivia is back in john scotts memory. let me know what you think.
