Boarding the subway, I was greeted by some tango dancers performing onboard for money. Notice the crowd. Some of them are sitting there like this is an every day experience. And indeed it is in this land of tango
Hi I'm from Buenos Aires and yeah thats true, we are asked for money every day several times. Musicians, dancers, people selling something, ill people asking for money....every day the same thing. After some years taking the same line you really know each one hehe.
Your best weapong it's a mp3 pleyer....sad but true.
However, its a good system to go to work, fast and allmost safe.
I agree that there is an every day experience in the land of tango. But argentinians are tired of being asked for money every time they walk on the street or take the bus or the subway to go to work.
(But I must confess, if they are tango dancers or musicians, I give some "pesos"!)
thats right i take the line d on congreso de tucuman and i know that if i take the subway at 2:40pm a blind man will be asking for money.
