Sleep in Nature: 15 minutes of Moon and Forest Night Sounds

The moon, as it appears in this film, was shot at 20 x zoom from my front porch, on the patchy cloud evening of March 18, 2011. Sounds of the night forest have been added, which includes crickets, wolves, coyotes, -- typical sounds that might be heard in the wilderness at night.

On this day the moon was a distance of 221,565 miles (356,575 kilometers) away. The moon had not been in a position to appear this large since March 1993.

Coined by astronomers as the "supermoon," the moon on that evening was 30,000 kilometers (formerly printed incorrectly as "miles") closer to Earth than at it's most distant position. It was the closest to Earth it has been for the last 18 years. As a result, it appeared 14.5 percent larger.

anyone else hear that creepy growl around 5:40?? I mean the whole thing was beautiful and peaceful, but Im serious when i say that seriously scared me! wonderful vid though :DD

@JusiotheJadeSparrow I played it back and only heard a funny bird call around 5:30 - You had me scared for a minute there. I was thinking maybe it picked up the sound of my snoring inside the tent, and I had maybe forgotten to edit it out.
