About the editing process:
Ok this was ment as an birthday AMV for my gf Lisa, so I wanted to make it emotional and slow since she like such kind of AMV's. In the verses I used textsynched and lipsynched scenes and showed the timing (guitar) with some white strings. I also made some soft black bars with cookie cutter to let the video look more like a dream or a memory.
But from 0:51 - 1:00 I had an weird problem, the lipsynch mask began to blink after rendering. I don't know why, I tried everything, made a new mask used another scene, pulled the whole video a few minutes farther but nothing worked, the blinking shit doesn't disapeared so I had to add
TVSimulator and Filmgrain to let it look like the blinking was intent. Damn shit, normally it should be clean, anyways I hope you don't think I'm a noob who just wanted more fx.
Then I came to the chorus, I tried much stuff out to let it look kinda intense but it was mostly too intense and destroyed the flow so I just decited to make some extra borders with newsprint and an warm gradient map. I timed everything and I think thats ok for the chorus, I don't wanted to make too much
In the second verse I made the same like in the first verse, this time without this blinking problem I had in the first verse with one mask. At 1:46 is a little failure with one white line, I made a screenshot at a point where a line was an added it to the lipsync and the line showed up twice but I'm too lazy to make a new mask, change that and render it again for 50 minutes.
Then in the second chorus I made the same like in the first one.
In the following bridgepart I decited to add no effects and just time the scenes on the beat. Ok I used cookie cutter for the same size of blackbars in all clips 'cause some of them had
different aspect ratio but it's not really noticeable. And it was intend that I used different kind of scenes, funny momemts, sad moments and romantic moments in the same part 'cause I wanted to show how fast feelings can change.
Then the third chorus came, I made the same like in the other two.
Then I made the end, yeah I cutted the song but not because of lazyness. The song has normally 50 more seconds of distortion parts, E-Guitars and a little solo. But this would made the whole video look to wild and with too fast so I decited to cut this out.
In the outro I used a little scene where the guy wantet to leave her but she wanted him back and he stoped. I made it in slowmow so it fits in the whole outro, I let the textscroll came out behind the scene and made a cookie cutter in the text so it doesn't show up below the scene.
Rendering: Man I never had so much problems with Vegas in an AMV before,
I timed everything with audiopeaks and ears in vegas and checked it in Vegas and everything was perfect. Then I rendered it (50 minutes) and checked the video and about the middlpart there was a little Music/Visual delay wich was bigger near the end, about 1 - 2 seconds and I didn't know why. I checked Vegas again and there it was still perfect. So I cut out a bit of the visuals in the time where the delay came, in Vegas it looked off time there but the video was better but still not perfect. I cutted more and after the sixth save it was good... after 4 hours of rendering, damn you Vegas. So I hope you forgive me some tiny timing failures, Vegas was a bitch in this AMV.

I used Sony Vegas 6 for this, yeah but i don't make much videos, but ill try to make another when i have time, thanks^^
